Suvarna Karnataka Kerala Samajam – Bangalore East Zone

ABOUT US

Suvarna Karnataka Kerala Samajam (SKKS) was formed in the year 2011 with a clear vision—to build a strong and friendly relationship between the people of Karnataka and Kerala. The organization was founded with the belief that communities grow stronger when people come together with mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation. From the very beginning, SKKS has worked to promote unity among people while ensuring that there are no barriers of caste, religion, race, colour, gender, or language.

Today, SKKS has grown into a vibrant Bangalore Malayali Association that brings together individuals and families who share a love for Kerala’s culture and traditions while living in Karnataka. Through its activities, SKKS continues to create a welcoming space where people can celebrate culture, support one another, and contribute positively to society.

Our vision

We wish to lend a helping hand and save people from the insecurities associated with society, medical problems, arts & sports. We also aim at reviving the dying floklores of Kerala which is becoming a major problem.

The organization was established with a vision to encourage unity, friendship, and social responsibility. It aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds and create opportunities for cultural exchange and community development. SKKS strongly believes that a society flourishes when individuals work collectively for the welfare of others.

Over the years, the organization has successfully conducted several programs that promote cultural values, social service, and community engagement. These initiatives have helped SKKS become a respected Malayali cultural association in Bangalore, known for its dedication to service and cultural preservation.

Promoting Kerala Culture in Bangalore

One of the key missions of SKKS is to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Kerala among the Malayali community living in Bangalore. The organization regularly conducts Kerala cultural programs in Bangalore that showcase traditional art forms, music, dance, and festivals.

Through events such as cultural festivals, community gatherings, and celebrations, SKKS creates opportunities for people to experience and appreciate Kerala’s vibrant traditions. These events not only help Malayalis stay connected with their cultural roots but also introduce Kerala’s heritage to people from other communities.

A special focus is also given to reviving and supporting traditional folk arts of Kerala. Many of these art forms are slowly disappearing due to lack of awareness and support. SKKS actively works to encourage artists and promote these cultural treasures so that future generations can continue to experience and appreciate them.

By organizing such cultural activities, the organization strengthens its role as a prominent Malayali cultural association in Bangalore, committed to protecting and celebrating Kerala’s artistic heritage.

Welfare and Community Support

Beyond cultural activities, SKKS is deeply committed to social service and community welfare. The organization believes that community organizations should not only celebrate culture but also extend support to those who need it the most.

As part of its Kerala Samajam welfare activities, SKKS regularly organizes charitable initiatives that help underprivileged individuals and families. These activities include providing assistance for medical needs, supporting education, and helping people facing financial or social challenges.

The Youth Wing of SKKS Bangalore East Zone also organized various cultural programs for the inmates. These performances brought joy, entertainment, and emotional comfort to the residents, making the day memorable for everyone involved.

Such initiatives highlight the true spirit of Kerala Samajam charity in Bangalore, where the focus is not only on giving material help but also on spreading happiness, kindness, and human connection.
